Vintage Crochet Doily

image

I’m so happy to share another beautiful crochet creation!

If you’re looking for a quick crochet fix, this pattern is for you. It’s easy enough for a novice and with only 14 short rounds, I was able to complete it in just a few days. I gifted it to my Mother (who loves everything vintage) and it currently sets in her front entryway on top of her vintage sewing table underneath her vintage plant stand. I’m starting to notice theme here…

Read on for tips and a link to the free pattern.

Tip: The original pattern calls for a size 3 or 4 hook. I used a size 4 to make it larger and give it a more relaxed look. And I used one ball of Metallic Gold cotton lace weight yarn.

Tip: I blocked it using a blocking board and “T” Push Pins. The finished size is about 16 inches in diameter. For a smaller or larger doily, increase or decrease the size of your hook.
