Old Fashion Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

DSC_2427

You gotta admit there’s nothing better than an old fashion, homemade chocolate chip cookie. I’ll be honest, these cookies were my arch nemesis this past week. I found myself thinking about them throughout the day, craving a taste. Thank goodness we finished the batch a few days ago. Out of sight out of mind, right? Not. I’m still thinking about them!

I work hard at avoiding sugars, and if you’ve followed any of my recipes you know I always look for healthy alternatives. But sometimes you just gotta live a little, right? If you’re looking to indulge or make the kids a treat, this is the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. It’s similar to the Original Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies, with only a few changes. I’ve even made these with a little fresh mint to make mint chocolate chip cookies. They leave a fresh aftertaste in your mouth!

P.s. These are definitely Santa’s favorite cookies!

  1. Hi!!
First off thank you so much for being such an avid follower of my blog!
I just wanted to let you know that I have moved over my content to neathabitat.com instead of the old address of neathabitat.wordpress.com.
By doing that, my posts no longer show up in the reader like they used to which is a bummer!
However you still want to be part of the conversation in my posts (which I sure hope you do!), you will need to make sure your email is subscribed to my blog at neathabitat.com, so when I post something new, you get alerted of it!
It has definitely been quiet since I made the switch over, so I am getting in contact with my loyal followers to let them know of the switch over!
All the best, and hope to see you on neathabitat.com 🙂

    1. Hi Neat Habitat, congratulations on making the move to self hosted! I will definitely subscribe to keep up with you! And please do the same on my home page since you won’t see my posts in reader either. 🙂 It’s important to stay connected to our blogging buddies!

      All the best,

      Lindsay

      1. Thanks so much! It has been a very intense few days to try to figure things out! It seems as though it is a completely different world! I will definitely do that as well! Thanks so much!! ❤

      2. I can imagine! I looked into it recently and am a bit intimidated myself. At some point, its an inevitable switch as your blog grows. Hang in there, it will get better!

      3. You can move your followers over, which is what I have done, but because there is such an overload of emails that come, and the only way for your readers to know you have posted something is through email, it kind of makes invisible for a while! I am keeping my wordpress.com account for now, to try and keep the communication open for a bit to see what happens! Thanks so much for the motivating words!! ❤

      4. Definitely do so!! I know these comments were too long, sorry! But anytime email me and I will try to explain the best way I can the steps I had to take! I know that there is benefit to do it early on so you build your community on your self hosted site. But the sense of community that I was used for the last few months through the reader, is definitely missing for me now that I made the switch over. I’m sure I just need to give it time and things will fall into place! Please fee free to reach me anytime if you decided to do the move! ❤

      5. I have grown to love the “reader” community. I’ve had the thought that the longer I let it grow the harder it will be to move. You will definitely be missed in my feeds! Tear! Thanks so much, I appreciate you making yourself available and will take you up on it! And please feel free to stop by and comment anytime! I always love chatting with you! 😊

      6. Aw! Thanks so much!! I will try to post in the reader through my free wordpress account once in a while, to give updates when I’ve made a new post in my self hosted site, through this transition time! Absolutely! Same here!! All the best! ❤
