I attended a craft event recently where I made these fun button paper clip bookmarks. The possibilities are endless when you layer buttons with embellishments to create unique designs and color combinations. The cost averaged out to around $0.50 per bookmark, making them an affordable DIY gift idea.
All you’ll need are paper clips, assorted buttons with shanks, small pieces of felt fabric, and a hot glue gun. Thread the shank around the paper clip so the button sits at the top of the clip and apply hot glue. If your button is missing a shank, glue the back to the top of the clip then glue a small piece of felt fabric over the backing to secure.
Cool! Excellent work.
Ah thanks so much! I appreciate that feedback.
Love this. I have all the materials. I’ve been meaning to do this but forgot all about it. This will be my next project.:)
Awesome Gilian! Have fun and thanks so much for visiting me today 😊
These are so clever. I can honestly say I’ve never in my life thought about doing this! I love it, great post 🙂
Thank you Bea, that’s so sweet of you to say! These were so easy and I’m using them as stocking stuffers 😊
Such a great idea to use them as stocking stuffers because you can personalize them for each person 🙂
