The recipe for these Milk Chocolate Caramel Shortbread Squares is as simple as can be. First you bake the shortbread, then layer homemade caramel and milk chocolate on top. They taste heavenly, almost identical to Twix bars if you’re looking for a comparison. You won’t need more than a few bites to curb your sweet tooth… they are rich and oh so sweet. Try experimenting with toppings. You can add sprinkles, peppermint bark, or even swap the milk chocolate for white chocolate or peanut butter.

Caramel Shortbread Squares
My husband raves over this recipe and even I have to admit, it’s hands down the best fudge I’ve ever had. I stumbled upon the recipe a few years ago and fell in love with it’s rich creamy texture. The walnuts add a nice crunch, and the marshmallows practically melt in your mouth. I’ve since prepared a batch every holiday season for our neighbors, friends, and family. Just let me warn you…. this fudge is sinful and there is nothing healthy about it!
