I’m back again with another bite sized recipe containing healthy alternatives. You might remember my recipe post Honey Brownies from a few months back. In that post I mentioned how taken back I was by the flavor combination of chocolate and honey and how it only took one bite for me to conclude that pairing the two is nothing short of genius. It’s like the honey just oozes out of these brownies, making them uber moist. The best part of all is the sweet aftertaste of honey they leave on your tongue.
This time around I followed the original recipe, except that I swapped semi sweet chocolate chips for milk chocolate chips. Both batches were equally delicious, but I will say that the original recipe containing the milk chocolate chips are a tad sweeter. This batch, containing semi sweet chips, tasted richer and darker. I filled a mini muffin pan 3/4 of the way with the batter and baked them for 7-10 minutes or until a toothpick entered into the center came out clean. Before serving I drizzled a little honey on top.
In case you missed it, last week I made these Skinny Mini Banana Nut Muffins…
… and the week before I prepared these Lemon Lime Yogurt Cupcakes with Strawberry Lime Glaze.
