Honey Brownies

I was browsing through some cookbooks the other day, searching for some inspiration, and stumbled upon a recipe for Honey Brownies. My first reaction was to turn the page, because the idea of honey and chocolate sounded well, different. I decided to give it a try anyway, because I appreciate any recipe that can substitute artificial sugar for natural sweeteners. While this recipe is not completely free of artificial sugars, it is a bit healthier than the average brownie.

As for the honey and chocolate combination? BRILLIANT! These brownies contain just the right amount of sweetness, with just the right amount of chocolate flavoring. They create a delicious coating of honey on your tongue, leaving you with a soothing aftertaste. Both my husband and I couldn’t stop commenting on the after affect of it’s flavors. You just gotta try these Honey Brownies! 🐝 I made a few modifications to the original recipe, so I’m sharing my version below. Enjoy!
